LEGAL NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS
Application S-14-009 by Ms. Kelsey Dearmon of Boom Sign and Lighting, for Mr. Rajendra Patel, is requesting a 3’9” variance from Section 25 ¼-26 (C)(4)(b)[1] of the City of Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance which requires no sign be higher than 25’ on property located at 610 Northwest Broad Street.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application S-14-010 by Mr. Tristan Casteel, for Saint Thomas Health Services, is requesting a variance from Section 25¼-24 (A)(22) of the City of Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance which prohibits a sign placed in or over a public utility or drainage easement on property located at 1020 North Highland Avenue.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application S-14-011 by Mr. Shane McFarland of Shane McFarland Construction, for Demos Partners, LP, is requesting a variance from Section 25¼-24 (A)(22) of the City of Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance which prohibits a sign placed in or over a public utility or drainage easement on property located at 2357 Medical Center Parkway.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-012 by Mr. Raymond Thomas, is requesting a 12’ variance from the minimum required 25’ rear building setback for principal structures, as stated in Chart 2 (Minimum Lot Requirements, Minimum Yard Requirements, and Land Use Intensity Ratios) of the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, for property located in a Residential Single-Family (RS-12) zone at 3317 Houk Court.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-013 by Mr. Aaron Frampton of Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., for New Cingular Wireless, LLC, is making the following requests for property located in a Residential Single-Family (RS-15) zone at 1132 North Rutherford Boulevard:

A special use permit in order to construct a telephone or telegraph facility (i.e., a telecommunications tower); and
A 124’ variance from the 35’ maximum permitted building height, as stated in Chart 2 (Minimum Lot Requirements, Minimum Yard Requirements, and Land Use Intensity Ratios) of the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance.

Application Z-14-014 by Mr. Jake Loyd, for Mid America Distributors, Inc., is making the following requests for property located at 2510 South Church Street in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone:

A special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer);
A variance from Section 25(E)(5) of the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance, which states that in commercial and industrial districts, temporary and accessory structures and uses, except fences, walls, and hedges, shall comply with the same front, side, and rear setback as is required for the principal structure.; and
A 42-foot variance from the minimum required 42-foot front setback for a temporary structure (a fireworks tent) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone as stated in Chart 2 (Minimum Lot Requirements, Minimum Yard Requirements, and Land Use Intensity Ratios) of the City of Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance.  The variance pertains to the 42-foot front setback adjacent to the Warrior Drive right-of-way.

Application Z-14-015 by Ms. Cherie L. Akers of Huddleston-Steele Engineering, Inc., for Mr. Sam Coleman, is requesting a special use permit in order to construct a self-service storage facility in a Commercial Fringe (CF) zone for property located at 1509 Brinkley Road (also identified as Tax Map 078, Parcel 04301).  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-016 by Mr. Alton Sims, is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (retail sales) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 2510 South Church Street.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-017 by Ms. Chrissy Clevenger, is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (food sales) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 1911-2047 Old Fort Parkway.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-018 by Mr. Wesley Reid, for TNT Fireworks, is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 125 John R Rice Boulevard.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-019 by Mr. Wesley Reid, for TNT Fireworks, is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 2000 Old Fort Parkway.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-020 by Mr. Jake Loyd, for Mid America Distributors, Inc., is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Fringe (CF) zone for property located at 2061 Lascassas Pike.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-021 by Mr. Jake Loyd, for Mid America Distributors, Inc., is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at the southeast corner of Southeast Broad Street and Kensington Square Court (also identified as Tax Map 112A, Group B, Parcel 02700).  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-022 by Mr. Jake Loyd, for Mid America Distributors, Inc., is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Highway (CH) zone for property located at 2449 Old Fort Parkway.  All interested parties are invited to attend.
Application Z-14-023 by Mr. Jake Loyd, for Mid America Distributors, Inc., is requesting a special use permit in order to operate a temporary outdoor vending establishment (seasonal fireworks retailer) in a Commercial Local (CL) zone for property located at the southeast corner of South Rutherford Boulevard and East Main Street (also identified as Tax Map 103C, Group E, Parcel 01406).  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Box 1139, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37133-1139.  Specifications may be obtained from the above office during normal working hours or from the City’s website at www.murfreesborotn.gov.  The City of Murfreesboro reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and Proposals.

Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Murfreesboro, City Manager’s Office, located at 111 Vine Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37130, until 2:00 P.M., local time on Thursday, April 3, 2014, and opened publicly in the City Manager’s Office at that hour. The reading of the bids will begin at 2:00 P.M.
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS – West View Mini-Park Renovation
This bid package is for construction of the West View Mini-Park Renovation.  Project includes all work shown on the plans and specifications to include, but not be limited to, the following items:
Base Bid:
The base bid includes, but not limited to, all labor, equipment, and materials, unless otherwise specified, to bring to completion of West View Mini-Park, consisting of demolition of existing features, clearing and grubbing (as needed), minor grading, soil erosion and sedimentation control measures, installation of asphalt paving for 5’ wide path, installation of concrete walks, curbing and post foundations, installation of playground and play nodes, site amenities, fencing and landscaping, all as defined in the plans and specifications. The base bid also includes all permits, fees, bonds, inspections, and final approval by all agencies having jurisdiction.

Alternate:
The bid package also contains four alternates which includes, but is not limited to, all labor, equipment, and materials, unless otherwise specified, for installation of a larger swing at one of the play nodes, a poured in place rubber surface at the playground, poured in place rubber surfaces at the play nodes and two (2) waste receptacles as defined in the plans and specifications.
Work shall consist of furnishing all materials, supplies and equipment and performing all labor and services incidental to, or necessary for, the completion of construction of the project in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Plans, specifications and contract documents shall be available on Monday, March 10, 2014, and may be examined at the McGraw Hill/Dodge Plan Room, 1604 Elm Hill Pike, Suite 200 Nashville, Tennessee 37224, or copies of these plans, specifications and contract documents may be obtained from Lose & Associates, Inc., 1314 5th Avenue North, Suite 200, Nashville, Tennessee, upon payment of fifty ($50.00) dollars.  The cost is non-refundable. Checks should be payable to Lose & Associates, Inc.
A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at West View Mini-Park, the intersection of February Street and Smith Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee 37133.

Representative of OWNER and ENGINEER will be present to discuss the Project. It is strongly suggested that an officer or responsible party of the bidding contractor attend this meeting and that non-attendance may be deemed as evidence of bidder’s being non-responsive.

Pursuant to T.C.A. 67-5-2507 Notice is hereby given that on the 11th day of March, 2014, Mr. Ed Gaw Jr. was the successful bidder at a sale held by Rutherford County, Tennessee for the property parcel # 018A A 00600, located at 121 Glendale Dr., La Vergne, TN 37086. The successful bidder’s bid was $23,000.00. Any person, within ten (10) days of the date of this notice may submit a bid on said property but said bid must be ten percent (10%) or more than that of bid made by Mr. Gaw as referenced above. It appearing from the bill in this cause, which is sworn to, that the residence and current address of the Defendants, Angela Stacey and Sammy Brannon is unknown and cannot be  served with process, it is ordered that publication be made for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in Murfreesboro, in Rutherford County, Tennessee requiring said Defendants, Angela Stacey and Sammy Brannon to appear before the clerk of said Court on or before thirty (30) days after the last publication hereof and make defense to the bill filed in the above cause, which seeks Dependency  and Neglect and Temporary or Permanent Guardianship or Permanent Guardianship and Temporary Restraining Order or otherwise said complaint will be taken for confessed and cause proceeded with ex parte.
