Sealed bids in two (2) copies will be received and publicly read on Monday, March 3, 2014 by the Rutherford County Highway Commission, at the office of Road Superintendent, 1510 Rutledge Way, Murfreesboro, TN. for the following item:

Bid specs may be picked up at the Office of Road Superintendent, any working day (Mon. – Thurs, 7:00 – 5:00) prior to bid opening date.

The Highway Commission reserves the right to accept any bid in their opinion to be the best or to reject any or all bids.

The Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department is accepting sealed bids for the installation of approximately 7,700 LF of fencing at the Coleman Farm located on Central Valley Road.  The work includes installation of fencing and materials needed.  In addition, the work includes the removal and disposal of old fence rolls, trees, including trimming and removal of other vegetation. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on February 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM, with a bid date of March 6, 2014 at 10 AM.  The mandatory pre-bid and bid opening will be at 1725 South Church St.  Bids must be received in hand by 10:00 a.m. local time, Thursday, March 6, 2014, and may be express mailed or hand delivered to the Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department’s Operations and Maintenance Facility located at 1725 South Church Street, Murfreesboro, Tennessee  37130.  All bids must be clearly marked “Coleman Farm Fence Installation” - ATTN:  TERRY TAYLOR” on the outside of the sealed envelope.  Specifications and contract documents may be obtained from the Murfreesboro Water & Sewer Department’s Operations and Maintenance Facility at the aforementioned address.  Telephone number:  615-893-1223; contact: Terry Taylor.  Bids submitted by fax or electronically cannot be accepted or considered for award.  The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities.

American Towers LLC is proposing to construct a 159-foot (overall height) monopole telecommunications tower at 1132 North Rutherford Boulevard, Murfreesboro, Rutherford County, Tennessee Tax Parcel ID 090 01402. The new tower structure would not be lighted. The tower facility would include a 100-foot by 100-foot lease area and associated easements, along with a 30-foot buffer surrounding the lease area. American Towers LLC seeks comments from all interested persons on any potential significant impact the proposed action could have on the quality of the human environment pursuant to 47 C.F.R. Section 1.1307, including potential impacts to historic or cultural resources that are listed or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places.

Interested persons may review the project application pending with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) at www.fcc.gov/asr/applications by entering Form 854 File No A0875994. Interested persons may comment or raise environmental impact concerns about the proposed action by filing a Request for Environmental Review with the FCC. The FCC strongly encourages all interested parties to make such filings online, following the instructions found at www.fcc.gov/asr/environmentalrequest. Paper filings can be sent to: FCC Requests for Environmental Review, Attn: Ramon Williams, 445 12th Street SW, Washington, DC 20554. The Request must also be sent to American Towers LLC, by e-mailing a copy to enviro.services@americantower.com or mailing a copy to: American Tower, 10 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA 01801 ATTN: Environmental Compliance. Requests or comments may only raise environmental and historic/cultural resource impact concerns and must be received on or before March 18, 2014. Any local planning/zoning process that may apply to this project is separate from this comment process.

Application S-14-006 by Mr. Dan Bobo for Ole South Properties
, is requesting a variance from Section 25¼-24 (A)(22) of the City of Murfreesboro Sign Ordinance which prohibits a sign placed in or over a public utility or drainage easement on property located at 2207 Saint Andrews Drive.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Application Z-14-007 by Ms. Addie Woods, is requesting a special use permit in order to conduct a home occupation (a real estate office) at her residence located at 615 Johnson Street.  The property is located in a Residential Single-Family (RS-8) zone.  All interested parties are invited to attend.

Application Z-14-008 by Mr. Aaron Frampton of Jacobs Engineering Group, Inc., for New Cingular Wireless, LLC, is making the following requests for property located in a Heavy Industrial (H-I) zone at 824 Industrial Drive:

• A special use permit in order to construct a telephone or telegraph facility (i.e., a telecommunications tower); and

• A 50’ variance from the 75’ maximum permitted building height, as stated in Chart 2 (Minimum Lot Requirements, Minimum Yard Requirements, and Land Use Intensity Ratios) of the City of  Murfreesboro Zoning Ordinance.

All interested parties are invited to attend.
