Public Notice: Public Workshop Meeting


Notice is hereby given that the City of Murfreesboro, along with Kendig Keast

Collaborative Consultants will hold a kickoff community workshop on the Comprehensive Plan Murfreesboro 2035: Our Future Begins Now on Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 6:30 PM until approximately 8:30 PM at World Outreach Church, 1921 New Salem Rd., Highway 99, Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37128.

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Murfreesboro, Parks and Recreation

Department, Murfreesboro, Tennessee until 3:00 p.m., August 18, 2014, and at that time opened and publicly read for Video-Arcade Game Services for Patterson

Community Center. Specifications may be obtained at the City Manager's office in City Hall, 111 West Vine Street, Murfreesboro, TN 37130, or at the Parks and Recreation office, 697 Veterans Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37128, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. All bids must be sealed and labeled "VIDEO/ARCADE GAME SERVICES FOR PATTERSON COMMUNITY CENTER, Bid Opening Date August 18, 2014”.

The Rutherford County Purchasing Committee will meet on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at 4:30 P.M. in Suite 205 of the Rutherford County Courthouse to open bids on the following:


1. Dry Cleaning – Sheriff’s Office

2. Any Other Business


The Purchasing Committee reserves the right to accept the lowest or best bid and/or reject any and all bids.

In accordance with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), any disabled persons requiring accommodations for participation in the meeting should contact the County Mayor’s Office at 898-7745 at least two working days prior to the meeting in order that appropriate accommodations can be made.

On 21 August, 2014 at 10:00 am, Rutherford County Tennessee will accept sealed bids for the sale of real property referenced below that was bought in by Rutherford County at various delinquent tax sales.


Property 1 – Account # R0024334 ($5869.40)

Property 2 – Account # R0085730 ($2307.87)

Property 3 – Account # R0028638 ($4010.43)

Property 4 – Account # R0003593 ($3646.79)

Property 5 – Account # R0036105 ($4540.13)


Additional information on the properties may be obtained by calling (615) 849-5701 and will be kept on file in the Rutherford County Mayor’s Office, Suite 101, Historic Courthouse Bldg. Any person interested in bidding on any of the propertied listed must appear in person at 10:00 am in Room 205, Rutherford County Historical Courthouse with their sealed bid and present the same to the Mayor of Rutherford County. Should any person desire to bid on more than one parcel of property, they shall put the specific bid for any particular piece of property in a separate sealed envelope. The sealed bids will be received until 10:10 am on 21 august, 2014 and then no further sealed bids will be accepted. The Mayor shall then open the sealed bids for each of the pieces of personal property listed.

The highest bidder will be the successful bidder, provided however, said bid is subject to an increase bid as stated and set forth in T.C.A. 67-5-2507. Reference is specifically made to the Tennessee Code Provision as concerns this sale of property by Rutherford County. The terms of the sale shall be cash, or certified funds on a bank that is located in Rutherford County, Tennessee. At the time the purchase price is collected, pursuant to T.C.A. 67-5-2507, it will also include a sufficient amount to record the deed. The deed will be without any warranties of any sort.

For each particular parcel listed there is a dollar figure noted beside the same which includes taxes, penalty, cost and interest. No bid shall be for less than the amount stated for each particular piece of property.

As noted in the Tennessee Code provision referenced above, the deed shall not be executed at the time the sealed bids are opened and a successful bidder identified. Rather, Rutherford County shall make publication in a newspaper indicating the proposed sale, the name of the purchaser and terms, conditions and price of sale. Increases to the bid made by the proposed purchaser must be in an amount of ten percent (10%) or more of the bid already made by the proposed purchaser. At that time, the proposed purchaser who was the successful bidder shall be notified and a date will be fixed when the successful bidder and the person making the highest raised bid shall appear and make offers to determine who shall be the final successful bidder to whom a deed will be issued.
