I always thought this property was owned by Saint Thomas Health Services but a little research indicates that its owned by Seton Corporation dba Baptist Hospital. Either way, its not owned by the City of Murfreesboro so why would the decision be the city's? What does the owner of the property say about it's future?

And what about hazardous chemicals that were used at the hospital? How were they disposed of? The point is...if someone rents the space and then later suffers from a disease that is a direct cause of the hazardous chemicals, who is responsible?

TN has become an attractive destination for our nation's senior citizens. Why not team with NHC or one of their affiliates to create a property comparable to Adam's Place? With MTSU so close, it would provide amazing opportunities for both hands-on internships and longer-term employment. I could envision a whole gerontology-focused program designed around interacting with the facility. Jobs + Education + Effective Utilization of our city's Assets

Again, who owns this property? Not the City of Murfreesboro, right? So the city only has what little control they have via zoning. Beyond that, the decision solely belongs to the owner of the property. What are they saying about its future. I'm sure someone from the Post is calling them now.

Aydelott has practically ruined Murfreesboro singlehandedly. The sooner he gets out of the way, the better.

Many people have expressed so many great ideas about potential uses for this property. Keep Aydelott far away from the process!!

"With no official word on what will be done with the building that MTMC leaves behind the city’s hands are tied."
