The Rutherford County UT/TSU Extension office will offer the second annual
“Lawn Care 101” short course for homeowners in February.
The course will be geared toward homeowners who manage their own lawns and will focus on various grasses suitable for use in Middle Tennessee and their growth habits and requirements; establishment and renovation of lawn grasses; primary and secondary management practices; and pest control strategies for yards.
The course be five sessions long, held from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. daily the week of Feb. 16-20at the Lane Agri-Park auditorium, 315 John R. Rice Blvd. in Murfreesboro.
Course participants are welcome to bring their lunch to eat during the sessions.
Although the course is free and open to all interested persons, participants are asked to register by Feb. 12 to insure that enough handout materials are printed for everyone.
Anyone can register by calling the Extension office at 898-7710 between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
