The Tennessee Economic Development Council (TEDC) announces its board officers for 2009-20010.
Paul Latture and Holly Sears Weber from the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce were elected president and Middle Tennessee representative by the membership at the TEDC’s annual fall conference held in Kingsport.
The new officers are: President Paul Latture, president of the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce; Vice President Donald Hurst, president of the Cocke County Partnership; Secretary-Treasurer Michael Evans, vice president of Economic Development for the Clarksville/Montgomery County EDC; Immediate Past President Walt Wood, CEO of Shelbyville-Bedford County Chamber of Commerce; East Tennessee Representative Tim Thompson, president of Anderson County Economic Development Association; Middle Tennessee Representative Holly Sears Weber, vice president of Economic Development for the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce; West Tennessee Representative Spencer Sessions, Project Manager, for TVA; SEDC Director Mike Philpot, Executive Director, of West Tennessee Industrial Association and State Liaison Paul LaGrange, TN Dept of Economic & Community Development.
TEDC is a statewide organization for both public and private sector professionals involved in economic development. TEDC provides professional development opportunities for its 340 members and works with state officials to maintain an attractive business environment in Tennessee.
