Last day for City Schools changed to May 21

The last half day of school for Murfreesboro City School students has been changed to Wednesday, May 21. The original last day of school was Friday, May 23.

The Commissioner of Education is permitting districts to take their last two student days of the current school year and convert them into professional development days for our teachers if the district has days stockpiled.  (These days were originally set aside for inclement weather, natural disaster, etc.) The Murfreesboro City School Board approved the conversion of two student days to two professional development days at the Board Meeting last night.

Please be sure to note this change on your calendar.

The MCS Extended School Program will begin its summer programs on Thursday, May 22.
