Resident Robert Hunter was washing a bowl in his kitchen when he saw a man pointing a handgun toward his head about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday at his Lascassas home, a sheriff’s deputy reported.
The man ordered Hunter to lie face down on the floor of his Declaration Drive home, Deputy Michael Moody reported. He noticed another men enter his home and enter the living room.
“Hunter advised that the subject with the gun asked him where his money was and he advised him he didn’t have any money,” Moody reported. “The subject than ran further into the house then came down with their video game systems and told the gunman to grab Mr. Hunter’s wallet and cell phone.”
A third man entered the home. As the robbers prepared to leave, some friends of Hunter met them at the garage. The robbers escaped out the front door.
Witnesses described the robbers as three black men about 18 to 20 years old. One wore blue shorts over his head. They were believed riding in a pewter or silver SUV.
They escaped with a Wii game system, Xbox game system, Play Station 3 system, PSP hand-held game, Blackberry cell phone and wallet with four credit cards.
Detectives Bryant Gregory and Steve Kohler are investigating. People who have information about the suspects are asked to call them at 904-3054 or 904-3046.
