Lanny Dean Travis Sr., age 70, of Murfreesboro, passed away on November 25, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Lanny worked in construction and was a truck driver.

Lanny was preceded in death by his parents; Willie Roy Travis and Aileen Harvey Travis; and one grandchild, Lanny Dean Travis, III. He is survived by his sons, Leslie Dale Travis and Lanny Dean Travis, Jr. both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Destiny Travis, Spencer Travis, Krista Travis and Justin Coleman; and five great-grandchildren.
