The Riverdale girls won the 4AAA Region Tournament with a resounding 59-31 win over Lawrence County Tuesday night.

Riverdale is now 30-3 on the year and will face the loser of Bradley Central/Ooltewah Saturday night at Riverdale in Sectional play. Only the winner is in the State Tournament.

In the win Olivia Jones and Tyisha Petty both had 15 points and Alexa Middleton had 10.

The following local players made the All Tournament team: Oakland's Emily Eubank and the entire starting line up for Riverdale, Tyisha Petty, Toyree Watkins, Shacobia Barbee, Olivia Jones and Alexa Middleton.

Powerful Moore County (33-3) beat MTCS 54-39 to win the 5A Region. MTCS will travel to Loretto on Saturday night for the sectional game.

Scoring for MTCS (20-12):Julia Howard had 13 points while Erin Mullins, Juliann Peters and Meghan Smith had 8 each.
