Two different live trees were donated by Youth Incorporated Ranch. The first split in half. The second fell over in yesterday's wind – despite being secured to the ground.
On the city's third try, officials were able to get the tree up and ready for Thursday night's ceremony. Officials plan to plant two live trees in place of the two which were sacrificed. |
