The city of La Vergne is hosting a job fair Wednesday, Aug. 1, in partnership with Snelling Professional Services to help fill an estimated 60 positions at a new mail processing facility that is coming to the area.

“We are very pleased that we are able to facilitate this job fair,” Mayor Senna Mosley said. “I am excited on behalf of La Vergne to see jobs coming to our residents and to our local economy.”

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., applicants will be interviewed at the Multipurpose Building behind La Vergne City Hall, located at 5093 Murfreesboro Road in Rutherford County.

“This new facility will be a welcome addition to our family friendly community,” Mosley said, “along with the other businesses and industries that have located here in the past year, including Saks Fifth Avenue, Sav-A-Lot, Holdrite, Ajax Turner, Tru Roof, On the Move, and many others.”

The jobs will include sorting and transferring of printed materials and small packages.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

The company is looking for people who are accurate and pay attention to detail.

Before attending the job fair, applicants must complete the online application featured on the Snelling Professional Services company website, www.snellingnashville.com, and then call the Nashville office at 615-329-0223 to confirm it has been received.
