Even after the completion of her playing career for Middle Tennessee, the awards have continued to pour in for outside hitter Izabela Kozon. Earlier this week the senior was named to the College Volleyball Update Stellar Spiker Honorable Mention list.

"It's great to see Iza continue to get the recognition she much deserves after leading our team to one of our best seasons ever," head coach Matt Peck said. "It's a great accomplishment for her, and I think it signifies just how far our program has come in recent years."

Kozon, 2010 Sun Belt Player of the Year and an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention, was a recipient of a Sun Belt record-tying five Sun Belt Player of the week awards, and was honored by CVU.com previously as National Player of the Week on Sept. 14.

Kozon played a massive role in leading the Blue Raiders to both the Sun Belt regular season and tournament titles, averaging 4.00 kills per set with a career-best .286 attack percentage. She was also stout defensively, posting 2.19 digs per set to go along 59 total blocks.

This year marks the first time that a Blue Raider has been named to a Stellar Spiker team since Ashley Asberry made the Second Team in 2008.

Aside from Kozon, Tiffany Elmore from Western Kentucky was also named an honorable mention. No other Sun Belt players were honored.
