State Sen. Bill Ketron (R-Murfreesboro) has been honored by Tennessee's county officials who presented him with their "Outstanding Senator" award for 2009.
Ketron was presented the award at the group’s annual awards banquet recently at the Airport Marriott in Nashville. “This award is based on your service and dedication to Tennessee’s ninety-five counties and their county officials,” said Jay West in informing Ketron he had received the award. Ketron shared the honor with State Senator Doug Henry (D-Nashville). In accepting the award, Ketron praised the work of the dedicated county employees. "This is certainly an honor and most cherished award, as I have tremendous respect for our public servants who work in county offices across this state," Ketron said. "It has been an honor to work with them over the past seven years and I look forward to continuing our efforts to improve our communities when the legislature reconvenes next January." |
