Kappa Delta Sorority is hosting its 11 annual Wing Fling at the Murphy Center lawn benefiting Prevent Child Abuse America On Saturday, March 29.
For the last 11 years the sorority has organized this colossal event, with around 2,000 people in attendance last year and raising more than $18,000. Wing Fling starts at noon and winners will be announced at 3 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door for $10 or $8 for presale.
Different Murfreesboro restaurants will be participating in the event, including Kirkenburts, TGI Fridays, Jefferson’s, Slick Pig, Brew U and Zaxby’s. Also, different fraternities, sororities and college apartments will be participating.
The sisters of the Delta Pi chapter of Kappa Delta have put in an enormous amount of work the past 11 years, and the Rutherford County Exchange Club Family Center has been able to increase it work by 200 percent.
There are four different categories each participant is competing in, including People’s Choice for fraternity, sorority, business and organization. Also, there will be a kid’s tent with face painting and other kid games.
