Judith “Judy” Johns Minic, age 72, of Murfreesboro, passed away September 11, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County. Judy graduated from Central High School in 1958 and was an outstanding high school basketball player. She was a member of East Main Church of Christ where she was a past secretary for 28 years. Judy was very active with the Tennessee Right to Life Association.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Everett E. Johns and Nell Upchurch Johns. She is survived by her husband, William H. “Bill” Minic of Murfreesboro; son, Michael (Mary) Minic of Madisonville, TN; sister, Margo Johns (Randy) Adams of LaGrange, GA; grandchild, Nathan Minic and several nieces and nephews.
Chapel Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2012 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Wayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with friends serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of East Main Church of Christ.
