Sassy VEG Productions will present their first vegan cooking class “The Joy Of Soy” on Saturday, June 13 from 4 – 6 p.m. at The Discovery Center, 502 SE Broad Street, Murfreesboro.
This is the first class in a series of vegan cooking classes that the group will present twice a month at the Center throughout the rest of the year.
“The Joy of Soy” class participants will enjoy tasting each of the delicious dishes from the class menu, which includes: Creamy Herbed Dressing, Curried Tempeh Salad, Stuffed Pasta Shells, and Chocolate Cashew Cream Pie. They will also receive a packet of information that includes all the recipes, and additional information on protein, as well as the other ingredients used.
“The goal of this particular Sassy VEG Productions class is to demonstrate creative and delicious ways that everyone can incorporate the healthful and affordable protein source of soy into their meals,” said Sharon Jacks, Founding Partner and Lead Instructor for Sassy VEG Productions, when asked about the class.
“In fact, all of our subsequent classes will be themed as well – like “Backyard BBQ” and “Belly Up To Breakfast” – to show class participants that a plant-based lifestyle is not only tasty, it’s practical, healthy and economical. We want to get people back into the kitchen in a fun and exciting way,” Jacks said.
“The Joy of Soy” class is limited to 15 people and tuition is pre-paid. To reserve your seat send a check for $35 (payable to Sharon Jacks) to: 115 Lilac Court/Murfreesboro |
