John W. Miller, 77, of Murfreesboro, passed away July 03, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Mr. Miller was born in Grand Rapids, Mich., to the late Carl and Grace Miller. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member, deacon, and trustee of Barfield Baptist Church and was retired from Rich Products.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Josephine “Jody” Miller of Murfreesboro; son, Johnny Paul (Dora) Miller of North Carolina; grandchildren, Carl Ray Miller; Haley Miller; Gracie Miller; brothers, Owen Miller of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Rev. Carl Lee Miller of North Carolina; and Clark B. Miller of Hudsonville, Mich.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 7, 2012 from 11:00 am until the Funeral service at 1:00 pm at Barfield Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Byers officiating and with Military Honors. Private graveside at Miller Cemetery.
