John Robert Haynes, 79, of Smyrna, passed away Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.

Mr. Haynes was a native and life-long resident of Rutherford County.

Mr. Haynes was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh and Bilbro Haynes. He is survived by wife, Helen Jean Haynes of Murfreesboro; children, Kay (Gary) Adams of Woodbury; Bobbie Jean Brown of Florida; Linda Diane (David) Cottingham of Tullahoma; Sandra Marie (Charles Torrejon) of Shelbyville; one grandchild; and sister, Marie Haynes Pugh of Lawrenceburg
