John Mark Highland, 53, passed away to his eternal rest on Monday, August 6, 2012. 

A native of Pontiac, IL., he is survived by his dedicated and loving sister, Linda K. Lewis and her husband, Ed of Murfreesboro

Loving Niece & Nephews:  Kayla, Kevin & Ken Lewis

He was preceded his parents, Bernard Celestial Highland & Helen Ruth Becker Highland.

A special thanks to Dr. Mbu, Dr. Pakakla, Dr. Bullock, all nurses and staff on 5E, Critical care, respitory therapy and Caris Hospice for their tender loving care and compassion.

John had a special smile and love for everybody he came in touch with, which will be greatly missed.  His favorite hobby was making hook latch rugs, going on trips and being with his family, whom he adored.                                      

Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11 at Franklin Road Baptist Church. Interment will be at Parker Hill  Cemetery. Dr. Mike Norris will officaite.

Visitation will from 4-9 PM Friday, Aug. 10 at Franklin Road Baptist Church.
