At a time when mass layoffs have hit Americans hard and Tennessee’s March unemployment rate sits at 10.6 percent (up from last year’s rate at 10.1 percent), University of Phoenix has partnered with more than 10 Nashville-area employers who are seeking qualified candidates to fill openings.
The Murfreesboro Job Fair will be held from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12 at the University of Phoenix – Murfreesboro Learning Center, 2615 Medical Center Pkwy., Suite 1590. It’s located at the freeway-side of The Avenue Murfreesboro near Belk.
Resume workshops begin at 9:30 a.m., 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
With an estimated 75,000 people unemployed in the Nashville area, the free career fair will provide attendees of all experience levels to network with the area’s top employers.
