Jimmy Hinson, age 49, of La Vergne, died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at his home.

He was a native of Milan, Tenn., and a member of Barfield Baptist Church. A lifelong Dallas Cowboy fan, he was a graduate of Holloway High School and had worked at Cummings Sign in Murfreesboro and was currently employed by Smith Bros. Car Wash in Smyrna.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Milbern McCartney and paternal grandparents Levi and Julia Hinson. Jimmy is survived by his father James “Jim” Hinson of La Vergne; his mother Lavonda Hinson; maternal grandmother Mildred McCartney of Bradford, Tenn.; a sister Ragina (Ronnie) Young; brother Ronnie Hinson; niece Brandy Ferrara and great-niece Aubryn Ferrara all of Murfreesboro.

Visitation with the family will be Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 from noon until the time of funeral services beginning at 2:00 in the Woodfin Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro with Bro. Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Coleman Cemetery under the direction of Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Murfreesboro 615-893-5151.
