JEWELL SPARKS ROBERTS, age 76 of the Walter Hill Community, died Tuesday September 11, 2012. A native of Lake County, TN, she was the daughter of the late Henry Powell and Maibell Coleman Sparks. Mrs. Roberts was also preceded in death by her brothers, Wilson and Mack Sparks, and a sister, Lady Sparks Lawson.
Mrs. Roberts is survived by her husband of 55 years, James B. Roberts; son, Kirk Roberts; daughter, Kaleida Watson and her husband Steve all of the Walter Hill Community; grandsons, Britton Roberts and Carter Watson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday at Woodfin Funeral Chapel, Smyrna with Brother Eugene McNutt officiating. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of Mrs. Roberts.
