Jessie Mai Harris, age 86, of Knoxville, passed away on January 30, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital in Knoxville, TN. She was a native of Cannon County and lived most of her life in Rutherford County. She was retired from NHC Health Care and a member of the Baptist Church.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents, George Wiley McDougal and Delia Blanton McDougal; husband, William Paul Harris; daughter, Linda Pitchford; brothers, Alford Henry McDougal, Jim McDougal, Limon McDougal, Coy McDougal and Rayborn McDougal; sisters, Lennie Cooper, Mary Sanders, Floy Todd, and Laura Benson. She is survived by three grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A chapel service for Jessie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 02, 2010 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Russell Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
