Jesse Allen Turney, age 47, of Murfreesboro, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Feb. 2, 2013.

A native of Houston, Texas, he was the son of the late Peggy Orr Turney. Funeral service will be 2:00pm Wednesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, with Brother Dean Sisk officiating.

Mr. Turney is survived by his wife of 14 years, Linda Fisk Turney; daughters Nicole Lynn Turney, Jessica Diane Turney, Sara Elizabeth Turney all of Murfreesboro; sisters Sandi Speck of Georgia, Elizabeth Adams of Georgia; brothers Russell Sentell of Kentucky, Harold Marvin Sentell Jr. of Georgia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Edna Michelle Warren.

Mr. Turney was a member of Belle Aire Baptist Church. Jesse was an experienced elementary classroom teacher who loved his many years of teaching in Texas. Visitation will be 4:00 until 8:00pm Tuesday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
