Jerry Lee Hestand, age 53, of Murfreesboro, passed away on February 18, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Port Hueneme, CA but lived in Rutherford County for over fifty years. He served as a medic and paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division in the U. S. Army. He also was the owner and operator of JH Welding. Jerry was an avid horseman.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Benton Weldon and Waultraud Hauke Hestand; wife, Wanda Hestand of Murfreesboro; two daughters, Cara (Chris) Brown of Murfreesboro and Kristina (Eric) Lloyd of Jonesboro, AR; step-daughter, Heather Butner of Murfreesboro and step-son, Stacey (Cindy) Bogle of Murfreesboro; two sisters, Barbara (Jim) Nickel of Dyersburg, TN and Kathy (Scot) George of Beechgrove, TN; one niece, Candace (Chad) Martin of Nashville, TN; one nephew, Kenneth Mifsud of Beechgrove, TN; also survived by grandchildren, Noah, Libby, Beau, Rhonda, Jessaca, Abby, Lexi, Aleishia, PJ, Isiah and Kaylynn.
Chapel service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with David Ash officiating.
