Jean Cooper, age 81, of Murfreesboro, passed away Oct. 7, 2011 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center.
She was a native of Dekalb County but lived most of her life in Rutherford County. Jean was a member of New Vision Baptist Church, a homemaker and a servant to the majority of her family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Ewin Pack and Sally Mai Smithson Pack; husband, Jack Cooper; daughter, Deborah Lynn Miller; son, Rudy V. Miller; and brother, Auburn Pack. She is survived by her son, Russ Donivan Miller of Murfreesboro; daughter, Sherry Holsted of Murfreesboro; brother, Buford Allen Pack; three grandchildren, Kathy Cantrell, Valerie Lewis and Adam Holsted; six great-grandchildren, Lydia Saunders, Jackson Lewis, Parker Lewis, Simon Lewis, Sophie Holsted, Max Holsted; and one great-great-grandchild, Bentlee Saunders.
A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2011 at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Rev. Phillip Robinson and Rev. David Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as active pallbearers.
