James Hills, age 66, of Murfreesboro, passed away on September 17, 2012 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native of Lebanon, TN but lived most of his life in Peoria, Illinois. James served in the United States Air Force and worked as an agent for Occidental Petroleum Corp in Los Angeles, California.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Hills and Mattie Ruth Wrather Hills; and one brother, John Hills. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy I. Hills of Murfreesboro; son, John Troxell of Long Beach, California; brother, Gary Hills of Germany; sisters, Malissia Snedden of Peoria, Illinois and Debbie Principato of Murfreesboro; half-brother, Bill Tribble; half-sisters, Jeanie Bieneman of Metamora, IL and Jo McGee of Georgia.
Graveside memorial service will be held at Wrather Cemetery in Walter Hill on Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 2:00p.m.
