James D “Jimmy” Chockley, age 76, of Smyrna, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas. Mr. Chockley was a native of LaVergne and son of the late Wiley and Mary Goodman Chockley.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Friday at Woodfin Chapel, Smyrna. Rev. Nathan Hale will officiate. Entombment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Chockley is survived by brother, Bobby Chockley and wife Judy of Smyrna; grandchildren, Ashley Chockley of Woodbury, Jeremy Chockley and wife Courtney of Clarksville, and Wesley Chockley and his wife McKenzie of LaVergne; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Lea, and Braylon Chockley.
Mr. Chockley was a member of the Presbyterian Church, served in United States Army and was a retired Truck driver. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family would like to thank Alive Hospice for their care and compassion.
