James “Bo” Woodard

James “Bo” Woodard, age 55, died Tuesday, Aug. 28, 2012, at St. Thomas Alive Hospice in Nashville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis A. Woodard.

Mr. Woodard is survived by a son Daniel Woodard; mother, Lena Bradford Woodard; brother T.C. Woodard; sisters Beth Woodard, Lynne Ross and her husband, Peyton; and his friend and caregiver Sherrie Adams Graves, all of Murfreesboro. He is also survived by his step-children Olivia and Andrew Davis, both of Murfreesboro.

Mr. Woodard was a member of the Walter Hill Baptist Church and was a retired real estate agent. He was a 1975 graduate of Oakland High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at Walter Hill First Baptist Church. Rev. Shelby Smith will officiate. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mike Bullock, David Hall, Bill Barrett, Sam Anderson, Clayton Phillips and Keith Parrish. Friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Visitation will be Wednesday, Aug. 29, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Walter Hill First Baptist Church.
