James Benjamin Parker, age 70, of Murfreesboro, passed away on Jan. 3, 2013 at Middle Tennessee Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Rutherford County and was a truck driver for International Paper.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Dollis and Suree Garvin Parker. He is survived by his wife, Joyce E. Roper Parker; sons, Terry Parker of Woodbury and Timothy Parker of Murfreesboro; daughters, Emily Rich of Murfreesboro, Rhonda Sampson of Woodbury and Renee Hoover of Woodbury; brother, Benton Parker of Woodbury; sisters, Willie Mae Ingle and Patricia Reed both of Murfreesboro; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Chapel service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Jennings and Ayers Chapel with Herb Alsup officiating. Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
