J.B. “Slick” Warpool, age 79 of LaVergne, died Saturday at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital. He was a native of Davidson County and a son of the late Willie Dee and Annie Pomeroy Warpool, Sr. He was also preceded in death by two brothers Willie Dee Warpool, Jr. and Robert “Bob” Earl Pomeroy.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years Gayle Warpool; daughters Annie Warpool Short of Murfreesboro and Holly Adams and her husband Walter of Smyrna; grandchildren Katelin and Chase Smithey, Thomas “TJ” Morgan, Alicia Adams and a great granddaughter Aubrie Kelso.
Mr. Warpool was a talented carpenter and a United States Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
