Isaac Richard Drewry, age 91 of Murfreesboro, passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017.
He was a native of Wilson County and the son of the late Isaac Richard and Mettie Jane Armstead Drewry, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Skulley, Mamie Drewry, Irene Jordan and Bertha Worley.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Bro. Jeff Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Drewry is survived by his wife, Jean Alexander Drewry, son, Robert Drewry and his wife Lisa of Smyrna, daughters, Linda Byford and her husband Steve of Barfield, Susan Baker and her husband Jeff of Murfreesboro, Betsy Johnson and her husband Erik of Brentwood, Patty Drewry of Murfreesboro, grandchildren, Wade Byford, Richard Drewry, Robert Drewry, Abigail Baker and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Mr. Drewry was a member of Kingwood Church of Christ. He began his career as a salesman for Palmer Produce, and then became a realtor for Blackburn Realty. He was a Kentucky Fried Chicken Franchisee for 34 years in Murfreesboro and Smyrna. He was a member of the evening Lions Club, served on the Board of Directors of Sovereign Bank, Oakland High School Band Booster President and sponsor of many youth athletic teams in the community.
Pallbearers will be sons-in-law, grandsons, and nephews, Keith Neely and John Worley.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Kidney Foundation in his memory.
