Irma Floyd Harris, age 95, of Murfreesboro, passed away on January 27, 2010 at Northside Health Care. She was a native and life-long resident of Rutherford County. She was a homemaker and a member of Locke United Methodist Church.
Irma was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Randolph Floyd and Mary Smotherman Floyd; husband, Thomas Alexander Harris; brothers, James Monroe Floyd, John Ben Floyd, Percy Floyd, Willie Floyd and Robert Floyd; sisters, Mary Viola Naron, Florence Short and Lillie Goodman. She is survived by her daughters, Donna (Jimmy) Barrett of Rockvale, Jane (Butch) Barrett of Murfreesboro and Carol (Bobby) George of South Carolina; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
A church service for Irma will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Locke United Methodist Church with Rob Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow at McClaran Cemetery in Almaville, TN. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Locke United Methodist Church.
