Invitations sent for Exchange Celebrity Dinner



Invitations were mailed for the Exchange Club Celebrity Waiters Dinner Thursday, April 8.

Tickets are $125 each or a table for eight may be purchased for $800. Proceeds benefit the Exchange Club Family Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, said Donna Gibson, Exchange Club President. For tickets and reservations, call 849-5300.

The event will be held at the DoubleTree Hotel on Old Fort Parkway with a poolside reception beginning at 6 p.m. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. and a live auction starts at 8 p.m.. A circus theme, Under the Big Top, will be featured for the evening with clowns, magicians and live animals provided by Exchangite Bill Boner, county property assessor.

Newest additions to the roster of celebrity waiters include TV Personality Sharon Puckett, La Vergne Mayor Ronnie Erwin and Murfreesboro Schools Director Linda Gilbert. Waiters already announced include Kim and Lee Greenwood, Miss Tennessee USA Tucker Perry and Snow Bird of Channel 4. All five Rutherford county and city mayors are included.

Previously named waiters former NFL quarterback Kelly Holcomb, Murfreesboro Police Chief Glenn Chrisman, Sheriff Truman Jones, and from MTSU, President Sidney McPhee, Athletic Director Chris Massaro, women’s basketball coach Rick Insell and men’s basketball coach Kermit Davis.

Auction items include two Southwest Airline tickets good for travel anywhere in the U.S.
within a year, a week at a North Carolina coastal condo, a week at a Florida lakeside cottage and a Bonefish Grill Excursion worth $400.

The Exchange Club Family Center located on Heritage Park Drive, served 1,673 clients in Rutherford County in 2008-09. Of this number, 930 were successful graduates of parent education classes.
