| MTSU Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest of an individual who assaulted a campus police officer Sunday, Aug. 29.
Sgt. Misty White was attempting to arrest Zakiya Brown in front of the James Union Building on MTSU’s campus for disorderly conduct when two male subjects intervened.
One subject, a black male with dreadlocks, reportedly pushed White down a flight of concrete stairs and threw White into bushes.

Brown was arrested on campus Aug. 31 without further incident for disorderly conduct and evading arrest.
Micah McClure, the driver of the vehicle, had a warrant for his arrest for violating his probation. McClure was served that warrant in addition to being arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and resisting arrest.
The third subject has not been identified at this time. If you know the identity or have any information that may help police identify him you can contact campus police at 898-2424 or Crime Stoppers at 893-7867 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers will remain anonymous. |
