Grand jurors indicted a defendant accused of murdering an O’Charley’s manager, a husband accused of killing his wife and a man charged with having sexual relations with a girl.

The defendants will receive copies of their indictments Sept. 15 from Circuit Court Judge David Bragg.

Antonio D. Alexander, 46, of Byler Court in Smyrna was indicted on charges of first-degree murder and felony murder of assistant manager Nadir Bahmanziari.

Murfreesboro Police Detective James Abbott accused Alexander of fatally shooting Bahmanziari during a robbery Feb. 3 at the Memorial Boulevard restaurant.

Alexander was also indicted for especially aggravated robbery of Bahmanziari and attempted aggravated kidnapping and attempted aggravated robbery of employee Shawn Mahoney. Alexander, who was previously convicted of robbery, was also indicted for possession of a weapon by a felon.

In another case, defendant Michael Jason Vance, 36, of Cozumel Court was indicted for first-degree murder of his estranged wife, Suzanne, Feb. 28 at her home.

Detective Jennifer West reported police received a 911 call from a man stating a woman needed help. They found the deceased woman. West charged Vance with fatally shooting his wife.

Vance fled the scene, leading sheriff’s Deputy Will Pinson on a 25-mile chase before spike strips stopped his car near the Nashville SuperSpeedway. During the chase, Pinson reported Vance tried to strike him.

Grand jurors indicted Vance for evading arrest with an auto and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. He was also charged with felonious possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

In another case, defendant Oscar Terry Brazzell, 59, of Red Jacket Trace, was indicted on charges of rape (two counts), sexual battery by an authority figure, four counts of sexual battery and impersonation of a licensed professional.

Detective Tommy Roberts accused Brazzell of luring a 17-year-old girl to an office while posing as a therapist.

During a preliminary hearing, the girl testified Brazzell told her he would provide therapy for her back but instead had sexual relations with her.
