Murfreesboro Police are searching for an armed robber who held up the Shell gas station about 9:41 p.m. Tuesday on 235 N. Rutherford Blvd., a police major said.
The suspect entered the store and approached the register, Maj. Clyde Adkison reported. The robber then pulled a small black or dark blue semi-automatic pistol and pointed it at the store clerk. He told her to give him the money from the register. The clerk complied and the suspect left the store.
He left the scene driving a White Chevy Z-71 pickup truck, unknown year, with an extended cab and a toolbox in the back. He was last seen driving north on North Rutherford Boulevard.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 50s or 60s.
The department is in the early stages of this investigation and would ask anyone who knows any additional information or can identify the suspect who committed this robbery to call either the Criminal Investigation Division at 893-2717 or Crime Stoppers of Rutherford County at 893-STOP (7867).
