A husband accused of pulling out his wife’s hair and busting her lip was arrested Monday on East Northfield Boulevard, Murfreesboro Police reported.

Husband J.W. Bass Jr., 52, of Long Rifle Road in Smyrna was charged with domestic assault by Officer David Suggs.

Wife Jamie C. Miller, 47, of the same address, told Suggs she and her husband were involved in a verbal argument escalating into a fight on West Clark Boulevard.

“Bass struck her in the face with his hand,” Suggs reported. “Bass was also said to have pulled pieces of Mrs. Miller’s hair out. Mrs. Miller had a swollen lip from being struck and the hair that was pulled out was collected for evidence.”

“Bass also admitted to striking Mrs. Miller and was said to have told Mrs. Miller, ‘It would get worse when they get home,’” Suggs reported.

She refused medical treatment. Suggs advised her of her rights as a victim.

Bass, who was determined to be the primary aggressor, was arrested and driven to the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center where he was booked in. A hearing is set Dec. 3 in General Sessions Court.

Idiots are abound in Murfreesboro. Round them up. Put them in a compound and let them take care of themselves.
