HENRY WAYNE JONES, age 81 of Murfreesboro died Sunday, November 26, 2006 at his home. He was a native of Jackson, Ohio and was born March 20, 1925.

He was the son of the late Clayton & Lynn Jones. He is survived by his wife, Yvonne McFolin Jones; Daughter, Diana Jones, Nashville; Stepdaughters, Sherry (Keith) Duncan, Norcross, Ga. and Melanie (Bob) Covington, Athens, Ga.; Four Grandchildren, Cpl Matthew Duncan USMC and Kyle Duncan,, Brad & Lauren Covington; Sisters in Law; Joanna Jones, Chillicothee, Ohio and Marian McFolin, Murfreesboro; Brother in law, Olin McFolin, Murfreesboro. Niece, Sharon Jones Pappajohn, Alexandria, Va. Nephews, Keith Jones, Columbus, Ohio and Clayton Jones, Jackson, Ohio.

Funeral Services 10 am Tuesday, Woodfin Memorial Chapel with John Risse officiating. Entombment Roselawn. Visitation with the family 5-8 pm Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his brother, John C. Jones and his first wife, Carolyn Conroy Jones.

He proudly served in the US Army Air Corps in WW II as a B-29 bomber gunner, survived his aircraft exploding in mid air during his last mission and was a POW in Japan until the war ended.

Active pallbearers will be John McFolin, Jim McDermont, Harry Steuber, Jere Warner, Don McDaniels, Nile McCrary, Al Hollis and Al Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will be the elders and deacons of North Boulevard Church of Christ.
