Henry Grady Cole age 83 of LaVergne died Saturday January 25, 2013. He was a native of Nashville and was preceded in death by his parents, Denton and Caroline Benzenhafer Cole. Mr. Cole was owner of Smyrna Rexall Drugs for over 44years. He was a graduate of Isaac Litton High School and University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis and charter member of Smyrna Rotary. Mr. Cole was long time member of LaVergne United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Cole; children, Lynn McDonald and husband Allen of Nashville, H.G. Cole and wife Holly of Smyrna, Lee Cole and Carrie of Smyrna, Mark Cole and wife Beth; step-children, Nancy Kellogg of Wartrace, Kathy O’Brien and partner Mary of Atlanta, Harry Kellogg and wife Candice of Wartrace, Beth Smith and husband Eric of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Hank Cole and wife Crystal, Heather McGarry and husband Declan, Caroline McDonald, Clayton McDonald, Evelyn Thompson all of Nashville, Thomas Riley of Wartrace, Patrick O’Brien of Atlanta, Sarah Smith, Savannah Smith, Julien Smith, Gabriel Smith, Skylar Smith all of Murfreesboro, Wesley Ridley of Atlanta; great-grandchildren, Joseph Barrett of Nashville, Molly O’Brien of Atlanta, Henry Grady Cole IV of Nashville.
Memorials may be made in memory of Mr. Cole to LaVergne United Methodist Church. The family would like to say a special thanks to Sharon Jones for all of her help in the past year.
Funeral service will be 2PM Tuesday at LaVergne United Methodist Church. Rev. Denman Frazer will officiate. Burial will follow in Mapleview Cemetery. Honorary Pallbears will be Smyrna Rotary Club.
