Oakland High School is sponsoring a Fisher House Walk-a-thon from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 4 at the school.
Fisher House is a home for families of military persons who are hospitalized at a Veteran’s Administration facility.
It’s like a Ronald McDonald House for military families with loved ones in the VA hospitals here in Murfreesboro and Nashville.
A Fisher House is planned for the Murfreesboro Alvin C. York VA campus to serve the hospital here as well as the one in Nashville.
The money will help make that dream come true. All proceeds from the walk benefit the Fisher House Organization.
Early entrance fee $10 or $12 at the door. Register early at www.ohs.rcs.k12.tn.us and get a T-shirt.
This event at Oakland High will also include a silent auction, food, fun and games. |
