Nearly 500 middle- and high-school students will be competing in the annual Regional Science Olympiad Saturday at MTSU.
School teams from Clarksville, Robertson County, Franklin, Columbia, Nashville and Rutherford County will be competing to earn berths in the state Science Olympiad
Regional Science Olympiad Director Pat Patterson calls it “science excitement,” but then adds, “It’s more than just science. It’s science, technology, engineering and math concepts and applications.” Eye-catching events include “Crave the Wave,” “Science Crime Busters,” “Disease Detectives” and “Junkyard Challenge,” among others. Events will be held in Wiser-Patten and Davis Science buildings; Kirksey Old Main; Stark Agribusiness and Agriscience Center; Cason-Kennedy Nursing Building; Business and Aerospace Building; and others. |
