Guard's 168th Military Police return Sunday

Approximately 100 soldiers of the Tennessee Army National Guard’s 168th Military Police Battalion are scheduled to return to Smyrna, Sunday, Oct. 11, after a one-year deployment in Iraq.

The 168th is headquartered in Dyersburg, but has soldiers assigned from throughout the state.

The aircraft carrying the Tennesseans is scheduled to land at the National Guard’s Volunteer Training Site in Smyrna at 10 a.m. Sunday.


Families and friends are asked to go to Flight Operations, Building 680.

The Military Police unit will begin out-processing shortly after arrival Sunday and soldiers are scheduled to be transported by bus to Dyersburg at approximately 2 p.m.
