The Tennessee Army National Guard's 269th Military Police Company from Murfreesboro is scheduled to return to Tennessee tonight, Friday, Nov. 6th, after a year's deployment to Iraq. Approximately 170 soldiers are due to arrive at 8 p.m. Friday at the Guard's Volunteer Training Site-Smyrna, AASF No. 1.
Families, friends and members of the media are asked to go to Flight Operations, Building 680. The Military Police units will begin out-processing early Saturday, Nov. 7, and soldiers are scheduled to leave by bus for the Murfreesboro armory between noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday. Approximately 18,000 Tennessee Army and Air Guardsmen will have deployed by January 2010.
