Those of us who oppose this lunacy from the left need to also organize and make it very clear to Mr. Gordon that we believe in every individual pulling his own weight. Enough of the BS. These Libs need to be called what they really are...Socialist Progressives who have no respect for our Constitution or American Heritage. Fight back at www.dumpbartgordon.com

This "rally" is in response to a large rally against the government healthcare takeover, planned on the square with 5 counties in the 6th district participating. We're starting at noon, so they wanted to get a leg up and be there early. Unlike the canceled event that the SEIU "took over," Saturday will see hundreds, if not thousands converging on the square in opposition to this expensive and ineffective excuse for healthcare "reform" that does nothing but serve the Democrat power grab agenda.

Isn't that what BHO and his wife are, were, continue to be. Oh well, whatever. Why do these people need volunteer activists all the time? Progressive Social Change, which is another name for Socialism, is what they had in the USSR until that dictatorship crumbled.

wow you who are so againts healthcare reform tell me why you feel that just becasue a responsible person who works hard, pays their bills, skips the goodies, and still in unable to afford to buy coverage ( well rent or healthcare??) why do you feel your any better than them? Just because you earn more and can afford to cost does not mean your more worth of a quality health care. Just because 1 childs working parent falls between the cracks of assistance and being able to afford coverage does that really in your eyes make one deserve caremore than the other. I work my tail off, I do not waist a penny, I make too much for help but have nothing left after the bare min basics to go towards coverage,,,,,,,,,, so me and my family have to go with out medical care , you can't save what you don;t have you cant work 24 hrs a day. No I don't have a pay check as big as yours but I'll bet I work everybit as hard if not harder to get mine. I AM NOT 2ND CLASS, I AM NOT EXPENDABLE , I AM A GOOD HARD WORKING PERSON WHOS FAMILY DESERVES MEDICAL CARE WHEN IT IS NEEDED JUST AS MUCH YOU. YOU ARE NOT ANY BETTER THAN ME AND MY CHILD FEELS PAIN WHEN SHE IS SICK THE SAME AS YOUR -WHY SHOULD SHE SUFFER MORE BECAUSE MY JOB PAYS LESS? YOU GO LOOK IN THE MIRRIOR - AND TELL ME WHERE YOUR GOLDEN CROWN IS , WHERE IS THE HALO MAKING YOU A BETTER DESERVING PERSON???
DID JESUS ONLY CURE THOSE WHO WHERE RICH AND HAD THE MONEY FOR INSURANCE? DID HE PICK AND CHOOSE WHO HE THOUGHT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR HIM? WAKE UP FOLKS YOU SAY YOU DON'T WANT RESTRICTED CARE - WHAT IS WE HAVE NOW? YEA SOME MIGHT NOT THEIR FREE VIAGRA, BUT YOU KNOW WHAT A LOT WILL BE ABLE TO GET BASIC NEEDED CARE THEY DON'T GET NOW. ARE YOU SO SELFISH AND UPPITY THAT YOU ACTUALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MILLIONS OF GOOD HARD WORKING PEOPLE , DO YOU ACTUALLY THINK YOUR THAT MUCH BETTER THAN THEM................................

lost in the middle, if you have no health insurance how do get healthcare now? We aren't saying that people like you shoudn't receive healthcare. We say there are already plenty of programs out there already. Plus there are plenty of county clinics and charity clinics that will see you guys for free or sliding scale. Our country is already trillions of $$$'s in debt as it is. Plus, you could go to school at night to mold yourself into someone that a great company with great healthcare benefits would hire. STOP WHINING AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR SITUATION.

Unless you are a part of the healthcare delivery system, it is very hard to actually know all of the facts. For instance-while the Hope Clinic will see the uninsured on a sliding scale, there are definitely not "plenty of programs" that cover hospitalizations, out-patient diagnostics (such as colonoscopy, breast biopsy) for the uninsured. Basic primary care is a good start, but it is definitely not the total answer. When an uninsured man comes to the Emergency Room with an acutely perforated colon from a colon cancer, he will be treated, operated on, and hopefully recover. However, the bill will be staggering (medical expenses for the uninsured is a leading cause of personal bankruptcy in America). More often than not, the doctors & hospital will not be paid-or paid very little-not because the person doesn't want to pay, but because he loses his job during such a prolonged illness. All of this could be avoided if preventive health measures, such as colonoscopy, were done, but this just doesn't happen for the uninsured. Also-I'm just interested in where the "plenty of county clinics and charity clinics" are? Rutherford County has a satellite Health Dept office in Smyrna and main office in Murfreesboro, and we have one Clinic-Primary Care & Hope Clinic-that provides healthcare for the uninsured. All of these organizations are extremely busy, constantly scrambling for funds to make ends meet, and often having to limit services due to lack of funding. Healthcare for Americans is not a "one size fits all", and we need to utilize a variety of options-each focusing on a general group-and adjust it for each community. We already do this-Veterans (VA System), Over 65 (Medicare), TennCare for those at 100% of the poverty guidelines-which is $5.20/hr (less than minimum wage), SCHIP for uninsured children, Indian Health Services for native Americans, Disability. Since our community has been so supportive of its neediest members through local programs, I would love to see our State and Federal governments join forces and resources with the systems that actually work within a community. This way, we would all be a part of the solution and share in its success and work to correct the failures.
