The 2008 Gospel Showcase of Uncle Dave Macon Days will feature the music of Celebration, the Do-Re-Me Boys, Jerry Messick and the Woodriffs, Summer Storm, the Tipton Family Band and the Hurricane Creek Bluegrass Band.
An hour-long “Hymn Fest” — an uplifting time of singing old-time hymns — will follow these musicians.
The Gospel Showcase is Sunday, July 13 beginning at noon and continuing until 5 p.m at Cannonsburg Village at 312 Front St.
Along with the Gospel Showcase is the 4th annual Ministry Fair. Faith-based organizations, social service agencies and church-sponsored ministries of Rutherford County will gather near the Uncle Dave Macon Days stage to display information about their work and talk to guests about involvement.
The Gospel Showcase and Ministry Fair is free and open to the public. It is the closing event of the three-day Uncle Dave Macon Days festival.
