MURFREESBORO, Tenn. -- Gospel quartet Work in Progress will be singing at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, Feb. 8, at 6 p.m.

The voices of Phil Glass and Wayne Rollins from Blackman Methodist Church and Luke Hendrix and Robb Stringfield from Trinity United will blend their talents together to create sounds that range from powerful to intimate.

Work in Progress will be singing to benefit the Relay For Life team from Trinity United through a love offering that will be taken up during the concert.

Trinity United is located at 2303 Jones Blvd. in Murfreesboro.

The 2014 Relay For Life of Rutherford County will take place in May.

Team captain Wanda Stricklen said the team hopes to raise $1,000 to fight cancer in honor of those who are currently battling the disease and in memory of those whose battles have ended. She said they anticipate meeting their goal through events such as the sale of luminaria, a silent auction, a spaghetti dinner, and concerts like this one, as well as during the relay.

For more information about the concert or Relay For Life, contact Stricklen at 615-890-9782.
