Let's see, Bart voted for the 700 billion dollar bank bailouts, the 800 billion dollar "stimulas" bill, the 400 billion dollar omnibus spending bill along with voting to approve the 3.4 trillion dollar budget and NOW he wants PAYGO. Seems like the horse is trotting down the road already. I think Bart is starting to get a little nervous about his re-election. As well he should, because I've seen quite a few www.dumpbartgordon.com bumperstickers while driving around Murfreesboro.

I find it hard to believe Bart understands the issues. He voted on Cap and Tax to stop global warming, (I guess it worked, since the high tomorrow is only supposed to by 74 degrees)some of the coolest days on record recently.
The medical interests are bombarding the public with praise for Bart telling us to call and thank him for his support of medical reform. If the big interests are shelling out big bucks in favor of the bill, that should tell you that they are expecting a payday in return..
It time for Bart to depart.
see ya old yellow.

The supposed surplus was and is a myth from the late 90's. The reason the "balance sheet" showed a surplus was due to the new method of calculating the debt and what to include in the numbers. The ONLY reason the "surplus" was seen was the removal of certain heavily over burdened programs from the numbers i.e. Social Security, Medcaid, Medicare etc. Just another reason not to believe any numbers from the D.C. crowd and why they can't be trusted with any more money.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there any issue/bill that Bart Gordon hasn't changed his vote on, whenever asked by the party "leaders".

You mean Bart is throwing up another smokescreen to cover his votes for porkulus, Cap and tax and a host of other liberal tax burdens and bank busters. He may be trying to suddenly sell himself as a fiscal conservative, but it's all BS and I'm not buying it. I'm sick of politicians who vote for bills they don't read. That isn't representing us, it's misrepresenting us. Gordon has voted the party line - his constituents be damned. Enough is enough indeed!

That chart that shows the so-called surplus is in error, that was a projected surplus that never materialized. It was the Clinton administrations projection near the end of Slick Willie's term to try to get Albert Gore Jr into office. As far as Social Security is concerned, Congress has been stealing from it since it's inception. There is nothing left but a bunch of IOU's. Congress should use the stimulis to pay back Social Security, Medicare/Medicaid and some of the other areas they have stolen from in the past decades.

Bart, like most of America, is trying to help the nation recover from the insanity, over-spending Bushiite Administration that was asleep at wheel on 9/11, and then invaded a nation that did not, could not invade the U.S. I'm a conservative who realizes Bushiite lied, and spent us into near catastrophy...
