Spectators will have an easier time getting to the festival as the Tennessee Department of Transportation has completed bridge work at the intersection of Broad Street and West Main Street just in time for the festival.
"We are really happy about that," said Uncle Dave Macon Days President Gloria Christy. "It will definitely make access getting down here much better.
"We needed it to happen," she said.
Christy advised Uncle Dave Macon Days attendees not to stress about parking. There is plenty of parking along West Main Street and in the city parking garage off Vine Street.
Rover, Murfreesboro's transit system, also will be making runs from various parking areas downtown to the festival.
Christy said this year, the 32nd annual Uncle Dave Macon Days, is going to be one of the best yet with such performers as Heritage Award winners the Roan Mountain Hilltoppers performing Saturday at around 5 p.m.
"It is going to be good weather, maybe on the hot side, but that is typical for Uncle Dave," she said, adding that the new children's area and the amazing food will make the weekend even more enjoyable.
